FMP
summary
This year I have learnt a lot about genre and I would like to use this to mix them within my project. I have learnt how to use existing projects to inspire mine and as they will be spoofs this is exactly what I need. I have learnt a lot about editing and different ways of filming this year. I would love to achieve this within my final project. I can also use my knowledge on storyboarding to my advantage and how to set up a timeline.

Vlogs
This vlog is a common kind that from the cover and title we can assume is aimed at a slightly younger audience. This person making it is most likely an 'influencer'
I chose this particular vlog because it links to the subject that we are doing. It is most likely here for informational and educational purposes and is a bit like what we are being told to vlog about.
This, again, may be aimed at a younger audience however it also might be informative and fact based. It most likely tells you about the experience and attractions within the resort.

How many people worldwide have the app? There are 1 billion monthly active users. As there are currently about 7.9 billion people in the world that means that one eighth of the world use this app.
What is the most followed Instagram account? Making Cristiano Ronaldo second with 258.69k followers, it is actually the Instagram account itself that has the most with 385.39k followers.
My idea
My idea is to do an advertisement for a made up tv app like Netflix or prime. I will make up a name for it. I wanted to do a number of different things so I feel this is the best way to combine these. I thought that I could remake scenes from tv shows to put within it and maybe make up my own. I could do comedy versions of them and change the name slightly. I'm not sure how secure this idea is or whether I can actually achieve it. I was thinking of remaking scenes from the shows this country, the office, killing eve and WandaVision. I may also do scenes from famous horror movies I'm not sure. Included in this I thought that this would give me a chance to practice doing FX makeup.
Inspiration
I like the comedy aspect of this. Where they have had the clips from tv shows is similar to what I was thinking about doing with the remakes.
I like how they have added the clips together. My idea is to have the individual clips a lot longer than this.

My pitch
After completing my presentation, I shared it. I got plenty of feed back. The first being, 'I think is really good. It’s completely different to anything else. I think it will be really interesting and exciting to see how you do this. Project proposal

summary
I would like to have my project as a advertisement for a fake tv channel containing fake clips from various tv shows and movies. For example I want to use a remade clip from Wanda vision for part of it so could instead give it a new name of something like Hayley vision.

I think that in between the different remakes I could make it seem like an advertisement. Really I need to try and make it quick and snappy to achieve this so we'll see how it goes. I think this will be best achieved within the editing in post production.

I think the first thing I can do is a scream remake. It will be a comedy parody version of maybe the4 first scene in the original movie. We could remake the phone scene and I actually have an outdoor door in the house we are moving into soon that we can use as it looks very similar to the one from the film. At the end of it I would like to do a comedy is stabbing death scene but make it look like gothic horror with the bright red blood. I thought I could make it realistic at first but then change it to the bright red blood maybe paint or a drawing as the scene fades out.

I would like to use the song from Wanda vision 'Agatha all along' and try and make it my own by slightly changing the lyrics. It will most likely only be one or two of the verses for times sake. I think for this I can try and do some special effects using green screen and do fx makeup and hair. I think if we are able to it would be cool to use the music department for this.

My next scene can be from tv show the office. I would like to do a remake in the style of how it is filmed. I can show a skill of documentary style within this and have the character speaking to the camera. I could then have a similar scene to the ones with the characters Jim and Dwight where they do a prank contest. I might take inspiration from the episodes 'classy Christmas part 1 and 2' when doing this.

For this part I might remake the boat drain pennywise scene from it but make it comedy. To do this I may use more 'silly' wording rather than scary such as 'I'm going to eat you' 'no your not' 'yes I am' as a bad example. I thought I could start the scene with making a paper boat and refilming the original scene. I can then do the rest of the scene in parody version. I thought I could again use fx makeup and maybe special effects for this.

In this part I could do a scene from killing eve, maybe remake one of the more comedy scenes. I could find a fancy building or use green screen for this to make it look like one of the actual sets. This would be a great opportunity for costume and fashion purposes.

My last clip will be from the show this country. This could be a similar outcome as my version of the office where they have the documentary theme as well. I also would really like to do a scene where someone shouts down the stairs KERRY, like the mum does in the series, even if I have to change the name.

Within these I can also make my own title sequence with my own title names and characters.
Editing
An L cut is when the audio from one scene carries on to the next scene. This can often be used when trying to portray a time jump. For example if there was a scene of characters singing as children they may continue the sound as they show other clips of them growing up.
A J cut is when the audio from a scene comes in before the visual. For example if there was a death scene they may show the sound along with another character looking shocked with tears in his eyes before the actual visual of the death scene. This is important to know for my FMP because it will allow me to create a better looking project with more techniques.
Research
Comedy horror
Comedy horror has been evolving for years, starting off in the 1920s the idea would be used in theatres and productions before films. Comedy as a whole could either be a dark comedy, spoof or parody. These can very easily crossover. What I would like to do with mine is create a fine line between horror and comedy. What i mean by this keep some notes partly serious as horror in order to scare people whilst keeping that upbeat comedy in other scenes to make people laugh. It would so be great to explore the ridiculous in the normal which may mean using normal settings for it. I would like it to seem like a spoof with making it silly and fun along with adding fake names similar to the characters own.

Parody
Final Girls
A great parody to take inspiration from is the movie final girls. It is basically a spinoff of the popular teen horrors of the 90s, based off predictable camp classics like Friday the 13th. I like this film because it is done in a really clever way and they make it spoofy and keep predictable. Which is similar to what I want to do. The film is ultimately about

ADVERTISEMENT
When I make my project I would like it to be in advertisement style. The style that is used in the office tv show is often referred to as a mockumentary. It will be hard to get the comedy style right, I feel like mine is a bit more slapstick than I was hoping. The aim of this type of filming will be to get a verity of different filming styles. This theme encourages that because of all the different compartments to it.

Green screen is something I have been really wanting to use and I think it should be really good to use for my final project
fx makeup
FX makeup is something I have been quite interested in for a while. I practiced it a lot during lockdown and learnt a few skills doing that. Its something that i would love to incorporate into my FMP. I still have a lot of learning to do with this but think tis could be a great opportunity to do so.

These are a few things I've done so far
colour grading
I am not great at the editing part however would really love to improve my skills. I think researching into colour grading would be a great way to start with this. Colour grading sets the tone for each scene. More serious, scary scenes may be shown as darker or more dulled lighting. On the other hand, more comedy or upbeat scenes may be shown in a lighter way. The warmer it is the more comfortable viewers will get with the scene Happy moments are usually portrayed as warm and golden, so for my project it would be better to take all the warmth out of the video. Making the scene appear colder is a great way of bringing an icy creepiness to it.
sound effects
Knife in watermelon for stabbing sounds.

Pour a jug of hot water into another jug of water as the boat being taken into the sewer. have second jug with stones in to make it sound like the ground.
Use celery and carrots for a gruesome broken bone.
Spray grains of rice over grass for rain effect.

Shredded newspaper in bag shake for walking through grass.
Slap a piece of meat for punching sound.
